Yet this beautiful part of South Asia has a proud literary heritage dating back further than any other on the subcontinent. Acclaimed writers Victoria Schofield and Justine Hardy and economist Lord Meghnad Desai will discuss the role of literature in the conflict and ask whether the written word can help steer the troubled relationship between Pakistan and India towards a resolution.
